Let me say, I wish the sun would just give up and let it be fall for good.

So once again, Tai Chi kicked my butt. I challenge everyone to bend your
right leg, shifting all weight to to it, touch your left toe lightly in
front of your right foot, hold your right hand up by your head, and stand
like that for 5 minutes. One gets total muscle failure eventually. I
really like it when muscles start shaking. That's a good sign.

Let's see, I forgot to write a few things last time. I am now the proud
holder of the keys to the church...don't ask. Let's just say people
realize if one is reliable really quickly, and then they start dumping all
sorts of things on you.

I just mailed off my absentee ballot, because it's becoming a little
evident that Wake County isn't sending me another one. I thought they had
to redo all the ballots because some court decided it wasn't fair, in some
sense, to do elections for judges only on the local level. This is really
stupid; the Republicans got it changed to the local format from statewide,
saying they'd have a problem being elected. It turns out this was the
infamous 1994 election, and they actually _lost_ seats due to this format.
So they've sued again to get it changed again. Whatever. I don't think
people should be voting for judges anyway.

I also mailed off a parcel o' presents that Stuart left behind. T-shirts
and books and postcards, oh my! It's taken me this long to go buy a
t-shirt for Stuart from "The Largest Used Bookstore in the World" with "8
miles of books". And of course, I had to read the books before I mailed
them.

So homework for the week is finished again. And a new set is in my hands.
The cycle goes on.
