So my Christmas shopping is done for the year (this is not including the  
post-Christmas shopping.  I'll give a goodies list later, probably next  
year, we'll see.)  Of course, the bits that I'm doing for my grandparents  
is not done yet.  I might not have enough thread to finish them before I  
get home. 
 
TV alert!  If anyone here cares, my church's soup kitchen is supposed to 
be on the Charles Grodin show at 10 pm tonight on CNBC (the cable 
channel).  I think.  I didn't get in it, because I had to leave 15 minutes 
before they started shooting.  Besides, it seems like they brought in a 
lot of outside people unrelated to our particular soup kitchen.  Anyway,  
they'll probably bill it as the NYU Catholic Center or Trinity Chapel at  
NYU.  They picked a fine time to come, our last day when we cut out all  
the metal silverware and ceramic mugs and plates and go for the more  
cafeteria, regular soup-kitchen look.  It's the last day of soup kitchen,  
and it's during exam week.  
 
I'm thinking of buying a guitar.  If I get Christmas money this year, I  
think I'll try to buy a used guitar.  We'll see.
